Silver Centurion Iron Man 2 Comic Series Toy Review

In space, no one can hear you boogie...unless you're Tony Stark, DISCO ASTRONAUT!

Protected by a suit of rare metals from the planet of Funk, he's ready to GET DOWN...to the bottom of interstellar crime!

Ahem. I'm sorry, but that's all I see when I look at the Silver Centurion Iron Man armor. Even so, I love it. This is one of those 1980's designs that tugs at my nostalgic heart strings in just the right way. Lucky for me, it made for a pretty nice addition to the Iron Man 2 Comic Series toyline:

It looks just fine on display, but the thrills pretty much end there. If you purchased any of the other Iron Man 2 Comic Series figures, you already know the drill. The Silver Centurion figure has articulation in all of the standard places. It's not going to drop any jaws, but it's more than adequate for a mass released 4 inch figure:

The only extra "play value" beyond the articulation comes from the obligatory (and utterly "meh" inducing) display stand and weird-ass Cheeto repulsor blast...strap-on thing:

Oh my...

Overall, this is a solid Iron Man figure with no frills. It isn't the most exciting toy in the world, but the sculpt captures the Silver Centurion design quite effectively. If you love big ol' triangular shoulder pads as much as I do, you will likely find this figure well worth owning.

If you want to grab one, the figure is available on Amazon in its original form as well as the Marvel Universe redeco.
