Transformers Universe MMO Initial Character Designs

These character designs, originally shown at Botcon 2011, are from Transformers Universe, an upcoming MMO (massively multiplayer online game) set in the Transformers Prime universe. From top to bottom, they are Prowl, Barricade, and "Decepticon Fighter." Sleek and stylish, they provide a nice look at the general aesthetic we can expect from the game's robots.

Further details:

  • TRANSFORMERS UNIVERSE will be an action orientated MMO.
  • In TRANSFORMERS UNIVERSE, players will be able to create and play as their own AUTOBOT or DECEPTICON, designing and customizing the character to fit their game play style, combat preferences, and appearance.
  • Heavily team-based gameplay is expected.
  • Core story themes are similar to those present throughout the rest of the TRANSFORMERS universe: conflict, teamwork, and social regard (such as the AUTOBOTS caring for the humans)
  • Characters from the TRANSFORMERS PRIME television series are set to appear in the game alongside various new characters.

Produced by Jagex, you can expect the game to be released sometime in 2012. Until then, keep a watch on the Transformers Universe official site for further details.
