George Lucas Gives Darth Vader a "Big No!" in Return of the Jedi?

From WideAsleepFilm on Youtube:

...could this be real? Has George Lucas really given Darth Vader another "Big No!", this time as a change to Return of the Jedi for the upcoming Star Wars Complete Saga Blu-ray? We shudder at the thought. Is Lucas really so keen on having the two halves of the theatrical Star Wars saga mirror and correspond with one another that he felt Darth Vader must bellow "NOOOOOO!" in the final installment of each? Silly man. Doesn't he know everyone laughed their asses off when they saw that in Episode III?

Several websites are perpetuating the rumor, sighting "reliable sources", and Youtube videos like the one above and another featuring an altered Obi-Wan Kenobi Krayt Dragon Call in A New Hope claim to use "leaked audio clips synced with existing versions of the films." Of course, given the many changes to the original Star Wars trilogy since 1997's "Special Edition" releases - most of which have made longtime fans cringe - it isn't hard to believe that even more have been made.

However, there's also the glimmer of hope that these are only rumors and fake clips made to play off of Lucas' modern reputation as a tinkerer making endless unsavory additions and modifications to the Star Wars films. Perhaps this is just someone's cruel joke. We would certainly like to hope so. It's a hope that feels very fleeting, but for now, let's hold on.

We'll know for sure on September 16th, 2011 when the Complete Saga Blu-ray is released. If you're interested despite the possibility of more groan-worthy changes to the original trilogy, Amazon's Pre-Order remains 36 percent cheaper than the list price: Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Episodes I-VI) [Blu-ray]

Fingers crossed.
