Transformers Animated Menasor Head Design by Derrick J. Wyatt

For now, this head design for Transformers Animated Menasor is the most official and canonical version you'll see, as it comes straight from Animated character designer Derrick J. Wyatt. Looks wonderful if you ask me!

Third Party Transformer manufacturer G1Uppers are working on a kit that allows the Botcon 2011 Animated Stunticons to combine, so perhaps the release of this image will help them nail their final look for the head sculpt. We'll have to see.

Thanks to TFW2005 for the heads up. Aha. Clever.

Transformers Generations War for Cybertron 3-Pack: Rage Over Cybertron

From TFW2005's coverage of Botcon 2011, check out this upcoming Toys R Us Exclusive 3-pack of re-decoed Cybertronian Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron from the Transformers Generations line:

These toys are of course based on the designs found in the 2010 Transformers video game War for Cybertron. The set, called "Rage Over Cybertron", features new decos (or color shemes) based on various aspects of the game, with liberal use of translucent plastic. The biggest change is perhaps a darker overall look for Megatron.

These toys won't be a must have for everyone, but if you're a fan of War for Cybertron, its aesthetic, and the original versions of these toys released from the Transformers Generations line, you might want to check it out at Toys R Us this fall!

If you're interested in closer looks at the Cybertronian Optimus Prime and Bumblebee toys, I reviewed each of them last year:

A better look at Transformers Dark of the Moon Space Case

From TFW2005's coverage of Botcon 2011, we finally have a nice look at Transformers Dark of the Moon Space Case, a Target store exclusive:

This is a much anticipated figure, as not only is it a remold of the popular Terradive from last year's Hunt for the Decepticons line, but an homage to Space Case from Transformers Generation 2 (part of the fan-favorite Cyberjet assortment of toys) as well!

What's not to love? The base mold is lovely in both modes and was designed with a balanced mix of both movie and "classic" aesthetics. The included weapon is pretty bad ass as well! Slap a new head on in tow with a color scheme and name that calls back to one of the wonderful Generation 2 Cyberjets, and you're left with a recipe for success! I definitely intend to pick up one of these as soon as they hit the shelves.

Amazon.com Exclusive Transformers 25th Anniversary Unicron

UPDATE: Unicron is now available for purchase at Amazon! Check it out HERE

From TFW2005's coverage of Botcon 2011: here are some images of the upcoming Transformers "Masterpiece" Unicron figure, exclusive to Amazon.com:

The mold is of course the same as TakaraTomy's 2010 remold of Armada Unicron, with another new color scheme. Interestingly, the toy was originally teased in the recently released book "Transformers Vault." Expect it to hit Amazon sometime this fall, for a very fair price of 60 dollars.

Having been interested in the original 2010 Unicron (despite owning the Armada version from years earlier) but unable to commit given the hefty price of importing, I'm more than happy to have another shot, so to speak. I'll be sure to post about it when he's finally available.
