Weekly Want June 25 - July 2, feat. Doctor Doom, Aliens, & More!

Doom will take as much of your money as he pleases!

Oh hey, it's Wednesday. That means it's time for another edition of the Weekly Want! Last week's installment focused entirely upon Transformer toys, so I'll be covering a bit more ground this time around. (Ooh, peep that sexy rhyme~) Batten down the hatches; here are the action figure and collectible promo shots that struck my fancy between June 25th and July 2nd, 2014:

aliens queen

Oh, my! This lovely lady is NECA's Aliens Xenomorph Queen "Ultra Deluxe" figure. True to its fancy pants designation, this is a 15 inch tall, 30 inch long monstrosity that will absolutely tower over the rest of your NECA Aliens collection. The hefty $90 price tag might seem like a lot to take in, but with an impressive scale, plentiful articulation, and killer sculpt work, it looks to be more than worth it! You can have the figure in-hand this November.

Shower Time in Eternia

If you're unfamiliar, the blue guy starring in this Masters of the Universe-centric comic is Sy-Klone, the "man with the power of a tornado." The gimmick of his toy from the 1980s was a rapidly spinning torso. There's no escaping his wall of wind-punches.

Somehow, 2 and 2 came together in my head to equal Sy-Klone spinning around to dry himself after showering. Hopefully the visual gag of him actually getting He-Man wet in the process (and why was he in there, hmm?) reads well enough, but if not, feel free to fight me about it.

I know it's goofy. Embrace it.

Headmaster He-Man

For some reason, my toy collection has always included a disembodied He-Man. I have no memory of the beheading or even having the rest of the toy. Floating-Head He-Man simply is.

Even without a body, I've always had a soft spot for the poor thing. Perhaps it's out of pure sympathy. No "Master of the Universe" deserves to exist in such a state. As such, a devious experiment arose: Headmaster He-Man:

Ernie Hudson Holding He-Man's Power Sword

Let me tell you what you already know: This is a photoshopped picture of Ernie Hudson, in Ghostbusters attire, holding a tiny replica of the original animated version of He-Man's Power Sword.

Now I'll tell you why:

Because it's awesome.

I'm Pitching a New He-Man Cartoon!

Alright, He-Man has been off the air too long. Time to pitch a new series to Cartoon Network.

Gentlemen. Ladies. I give you...

Oh yes.
