Ahoy there, it's time once again for the "Weekly Want," a rundown of some of the past week's coolest new toy and collectible promo shots! If you missed last week's installment, let the beauty of linkage assist you: Weekly Want Apr 7-14. Now, on to more current affairs:
Found on the Hot Toys Facebook profile, a gallery of Hot Toys' Amazing Spider-Man 2 Spidey hit the interweb (heh, "web") this past week. The 12-inch collector figure boasts 30 points of articulation, multiple interchangeable hands, additional clothing, a great display stand, and so on!
The images shown are only of the prototype, so the final product may turn out a bit better. The existing version is already more than promising however! I'm eager to see the final product upon it's release later this summer.
DC Collectibles released a gallery of various upcoming Batman action figures, statues, and busts. Many have already been seen, but it's fantastic seeing everything in one shot! 2014 is Batman's 75th anniversary, and the company is going all out with tons of cool products to make your wallet cringe.
My personal favorite upcoming product is the Arkham City Mr. Freeze statue, set for release in September. He was easily one of the game's highlights and this statue captures the design quite nicely.
Funko's ReAction assortment (which has given us a look at what the toylines for several older movies might have looked like if they had been produced by a company like Kenner) is adding this wonderful Rocketeer figure to the line-up! Anyone interested won't have to wait long; the figure is set for release in May.
The Transformers Facebook page released a small gallery of Kre-O Microchangers Series 6, including the likes of Sunstreaker, Gears, Blackarachnia, Seaspray, and more! This is a really lovely assortment of Kreons (the name for Hasbro's LEGO minifigure analogue) that will be great fun to collect.
Dawn of the Dead is one of my favorite zombie movies, so of course I'm totally down with this Flyboy Zombie Figma. I love the sculpt work here; it has a real sense of motion. If a figure of the reanimated Stephen doesn't do it for you, there's an alternate head that will essentially give you a figure of the famous "Machete Zombie" instead.
