Weekly Want May 26-Jun 2 feat. Kre-O Grimlock & More

Me Grimlock say empty your wallets now!

Toys and collectibles. I often want them. On the "Weekly Want," I share the latest product reveals and promo shots that have struck my fancy. Last week's "Weekly Want" had cool thangs such as Revol Mini Iron Man Mark VI and Transformers Masterpiece Wheeljack. Now, let's move on to all of the lovely wallet draining goods from May 26th through June 2nd!

Art Storm G1 Optimus Prime and Grimlock EX Gokin figures.

While many Transformers collectors are only interested in related toys that change from one thing to the next, my primary interest in the franchise has always been the robots themselves. As such, Art Storm's EX Gokin Optimus and Grimlock are right up my alley. The slightly stylized take on the original character models won't be for everyone, but they look like nice poseable figures that will likely make wonderful desk toys. The only catch is that these are expensive third party releases. If you have a spare $180 burning a hole in your pocket, they should be released via various online sources this October.

Figuarts Zero Dragon Ball Z Piccolo.

Late this fall, the Figuarts Zero PVC figure lineup is expanding with an incredibly dynamic Dragon Ball Z Piccolo. For those that simply want a nice display piece of the famous Namekian, this is a fine candidate. Piccolo has always been my favorite DBZ character and I think this really does him justice.

Kamen Rider Nanoblocks

The end of June will see the release of several Kamen Rider Nanoblocks. Included in the initial lineup are Gaim, Ryugen, Baron, and Zangetsu from Kamen Rider Gaim, as well as a surprise appearance from the lovely Kamen Rider 1 and a pair of Shocker Combatmen. Prices will range from $16 to $20. It's time to build some flippin' bugmen.

Sideshow Collectibles Gray Hulk Premium Format Figure

Oh, my. Look at this charming fellow! Sideshow Collectibles' Gray Hulk Premium Format figure (coming in January, 2015) has just been made available for pre-order. This is a companion piece to the previously revealed standard green Incredible Hulk. Sure, the price tag is a hefty $550 (ouch), but the sculpt quality can't be denied.

Funko's Interchangeable Magentic Vinyl DC Comics figures

Funko is as it again! These adorably blocky magnetic vinyl DC Comics figures have an interesting interchangeable parts feature. The initial fan favorite packed assortment is set for release in September, and the figures retail for around $9 each. They had me at Black Manta.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Minimates

It should be no surprise that the Captain America: The Winter Soldier Minimates from Diamond Select Toys look fantastic. The Agent Sitwell and Batroc two pack isn't the most exciting ever, but hey, it's still nice to have them. Oh, and here's a nice change of pace: these are actually available now!

Toys R Us Exclusive Transformers Kre-O Grimlock Unleashed

Also currently on the shelves: a wild G1 Transformers Kre-O Grimlock appeared! The "br00tal" appearance of Grimlock in the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction movie isn't quite my jam, but all is forgiven since his presence in the film has allowed us this awesome LEGO style toy of the original design. Most of the included Kreons (minifigure analogues) don't match the "G1" style, but to this I say: whatever. The joy of building the legendary kick-butt king dino starring in this Toys R Us exclusive set will render such matters completely trivial. Best of all, it's currently priced at a mere $25!

OK, enough already! That does it for this edition of "Weekly Want!" If you want to suggest anything for next week's installment, be sure to do so in the comments below, on Twitter @castlegeekskull, or on Facebook! Yay!
