Katsuhiro Harada Goes Through Wth Evo 2014 Tekken 7 Announcement

tekken 7 trailer
Tekken: the loveliest of family tales

Tekken project leader Katsuhiro Harada took the stage at Evo 2014 alongside designer Michael Murray to do a bit of damage control over the Tekken 7 announcement leak. Based on Harada's statements, the reveal was actually meant to take place at a later date (perhaps at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.) He handled the situation gracefully however, even joking that perhaps Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono was behind the leak. Despite whatever plans may have been in place before, the following announcement trailer was shown:

There was also talk of a few other projects being in the works. Harada and Murray quickly shuffled offstage after promising that more announcements would come soon. The details may still be lacking, but they managed to make the best of the Tekken 7 leak and likely turn a few more heads in the process. It would have been much more effective if the intriguing story heavy trailer had been the first mention of the game, but there's been plenty of online buzz stirring about all the same. It will definitely be interesting to see if further announcements are in store on July 25th at SDCC.

Alright, the rambling shall cease. Until next time, feel free to "follow" and "like" on Twitter & Facebook!
