Killing Cows in Minecraft Makes Me Sad

What have I dooooooooone?!

As of now, my experience with Minecraft is a bit on the limited side. I first played the game during a family outing and enjoyed it enough to eventually purchase the PS3 edition. Of course, my maiden voyage consisted of trying to earn as many of the game's trophies as possible while still in the tutorial level. When it came to the "Cow Tipper" trophy — wherein you have to kill a cow to get leather — I couldn't help feeling bad as I hacked away at the poor thing.

I can only think back to one other time where I killed a seemingly innocent animal in a game: a huge group of crows in Resident Evil 4. I can't recall feeling quite so bad in that instance. Maybe I was swayed by all the sweet loot they dropped.

Franchise creator Shu Takumi told Famitsu that this will kick off a new series (known thus far as The Great Ace Attorney), and that the initial title will be "quite different" from the existing Ace Attorney games.

Would OG Resident Evil Fans Like RE4 Style Remakes?

Resident Evil 2 remake Resident Evil 4 style
Rod Lima's RE4-style Resident Evil 2 "Remake" experiment

Despite critical acclaim and immense popularity, Resident Evil 4 has long been the subject of great disdain for many of the original few games' most passionate fans. As the later sequels began favoring action over scares, a lot of the earlier fanbase felt abandoned and betrayed. We've all seen the "it's just not Resident Evil!" criticisms again and again.

Naturally, when I saw Rod Lima's experimental RE4-style take on Resident Evil 2, it made me wonder what the "modern" RE detractors would say if the classics were given the same feel as later installments:
