Heads up, everyone. Over on the Star Wars SubReddit, things are getting incredibly real. Recently, user oweeeeendennis posted a fancy schmancy animated gif to "prove that A-Wings are cooler than Y-Wings." Here's the animation in all its glory:
Not content with having the good name of Y-Wings sullied, user all_your_base_69 (perhaps the most internetty of all internet usernames) responded with this:
This was titled "I'm the guy that says Y-Wings are better." Soon after, xiaorobear chimed in to offer further support:
...except for the part where this is actually a covert campaign for the B-Wing!
This has been quite amusing to watch unfold. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before someone steps in with an X-Wing gif! The Star Wars extended universe has featured plenty of other letter-designated starfighters as well, so this could go on for quite some time. Whatever comes of the Great Starfighter Gif War of 2014, it's great to see fans expressing their interest in such a fun and creative manner.
