Geeky Easter: Batman

Let's check out some Easter goodies based on the one and only GODDAMN BATMAN:

Surprise! The Bat has been represented quite frequently in Easter merchandise. Hallowed out baskets in the image of his head (thus allowing all sorts of gruesome brain fantasies), Easter eggs, and egg decorating kits. What fun! Stuff your pastel colors, EASTER. I will decorate my eggs with black on top of black on top of black, for I AM A GODDAMN BATMAN FAN...and I will exploit every opportunity to share it with all the world!

Scott Pilgrim Halloween Jack-o-Lantern

For those of you pumpkin carvers that double as Scott Pilgrim fans, here's a fun idea for you:

It's the sort of pumpkin that might make people not in the know bellow a hearty WTF, but if you get it, it's pretty damn great.

X-Entertainment's Halloween Countdown

X-Entertainment has always been my favorite website. It has helped fuel my love for all things pop culture and profuse love of Halloween throughout the last decade. Positivity is contagious. The sheer excitement found in X-E's Halloween countdowns, which tend to start a month early, have certainly made a lasting impression on me. I've discussed it elsewhere on the interwebs in the past, but Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday. I don't do much to celebrate it, but I adore the mood of the "season" itself and going around looking at tacky decorations of shrunken heads and light-up skeletons is a joy. If this blog were worth a shit, or even a half shit, it would be more like X-Entertainment, especially during the Septembery/Octobery portion of the year. However, I lack the tenacity and resources. Maybe one day! Until then, if you care about Halloween, please check out the X-E Halloween Countdown, already in progress: CLICKETH ME

Halloween for Breakfast

It's nothing new, but man, I love when Halloween rolls around and you can find the likes of Boo Berry in grocery aisles again. Tonight, I'm actually eating that very cereal for dinner. Ah, the single life. The...single, geek-ass life. Whatever you want to call it - I'm rocking it.

Before month's end, I'm sure I'll have gone through a box or two each of the famous monster cereals still available. Plus, there's that Halloween edition of Cap'n Crunch with "ghosts" that...TURN MILK A SPOOKY, SPOOKY GREEN. How can you say no to that?

Even though I love this holiday, I rarely do much to celebrate it. Well, not in the expected way of dressing up and/or going to parties, anyway. I may not boogie down with Halloween, but I'll be damned if I stand by without at least fucking EATING it.
